The biggest thing that pisses me off is when other wedding photographers tell me that I’m so lucky because my couples are great and the weddings I shoot look awesome. It’s true, they are, my couples are amazing and most are amazing even before they’ve received their welcome pack. My welcome newspaper has morphed over the years from a 4 page spread to a TWENTY PAGE book today. Yes, you read that right, TWENTY PAGES of waffle.

I’ve always said that this job is 20% taking photos and the rest is education, advice, support, guidance and industry knowledge. This newspaper gives my couples everything they need to know to plan their wedding. From group shots to choosing suppliers. What to spend their money on and how to time their day. Everything is covered. This newspaper informs my couples of what I NEED to do my job to the best of my ability. It’s not luck, it’s engineered advice for people who’ve never been married before. I have attended hundreds of weddings so it’s only fair I share what I’ve learnt. I never assume my couples know what to do, that’s why I pass on what I’ve learnt over the past 14 years to help them with their day. My newspaper is their little paper based wedding planner.
