SHIT SPOT THE DIFFERENCE…
(THE ONE WHERE I TALK ABOUT EDITING)
I’m fortunate enough to not have had many issues with editing over the last 16 years but I do feel it’s an area that needs addressing. Editing is a very personal thing for us photographers and it should be a big consideration when choosing your photographer. That said, no two weddings can ever be the same, the weather, colours, skin tones, clothing… everything affects the editing. Not only that but the way you view your photos will make a difference. Screens vary, and in particular if you’ve ever had a phone screen replacement or you have it set to true tone or night mode…. it all makes a difference. The only sure way to know the correct intended end look I wanted to achieve for your photos is through printing onto good old fashioned paper.
So here are 13 examples of my editing which will hopefully allow you to see how my edits alter my RAWS.
On RAWS, I will never ever issue RAW files. That’s a non negotiable. If you are a photographer then this can be discussed but not promised.
Greens will always be dulled down. Along with blues. Reds tends to be much punchier, I do slightly warm up the images by shooting in Kelvin mode around 5100 white balance. My photos will NEVER be 100% true to colour. If you want true to colour photographs then please look elsewhere. I shoot very dark in camera because I like crisp images. I don’t do the whole blurry look unless it’s a true happy accident.
